Group Programming




At Galaxy, we are known for our functional and creative therapy. To help serve ever more people, we have developed group therapy classes, as well as educational courses with curriculum, to help our clients build both skills and friendships that will help them at home, in the community, and at work.
Healthy Brain: How To Improve Memory at Any Age! (Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-5 pm) $240 for six sessions
Do you want to find ways to improve your memory and strengthen your cognitive skills? Have you recently been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment? Do you want to discover evidence-based strategies to keep your mind strong? Join our speech-language pathologists who are cognitive therapy experts for this course that will teach you the skills to help keep your mind sharp.
Participants will learn in a fun, social environment with information presented via informational presentations, videos, and hands-on activities. Participants are invited to bring a friend or family member to participate in the course! The $240 registration fee includes 1 extra friend or family member!
Brain, Body, Balance (Mondays from 11-11:45) $25
The world is full of sights, sounds, smells, and information to learn. You need your brain to process this while walking, talking, and performing daily tasks. Everywhere you go -- your home, the store, school, or work -- all these places demand that your brain flawlessly perform these tasks ALL AT ONCE!
Brain, Body, Balance challenges the body and mind to improve coordination, memory, recall, and the ability to perform rapidly alternating attention tasks. This class incorporates exercises from Brain Gym, Bal-a-vis-ex, MNRI®, and Galaxy’s own therapy experts. This is exercise for your brain and your body!
Reflex Fit (Mondays 10:00-10:45) $20
Come and join us for our Reflex Fit group exercise class! The class consists of purposeful movements that improve, restore or optimize nervous system function, despite any challenges that may be present.
Mindfulness Meditation (group class coming soon!)
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
Creative Hands and Conversations (Thursdays from 11:15-12:45) $25
Art is a purposeful and meaningful way to express your creativity while challenging the mind and body. It makes therapy fun while you learn new skills that will help you to make improvements in all areas of life!
Love Your Brain Yoga
Love Your Brain yoga is a 6-week long class that includes yoga movements, mindfulness meditation, and support group discussions that are focused on resilience!
