He connected her with a mentor to teach her how to bill insurance and began referring clients to her, paving the way for Galaxy’s creation. It was the perfect combination of Dr. Perlman’s unwavering commitment to helping others and Meg’s passion for empowering change that sparked the beginning of Galaxy.
Dr. Perlman is the founding partner of Associates in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, PC, based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. His practice focuses on neurorehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, and non-surgical pain management. With a career rooted in excellence, Dr. Perlman is Board-Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. He completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Michigan, where he also served as Chief Resident.
His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including being named a Best Doctor in America and receiving the Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s Clinical Professional Service Award and Chairperson’s Award.
Dr. Perlman’s passion extends beyond clinical care to advocacy and education. He has served as a Board Member and leader of the Legacy Society for the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, championing the needs of brain injury survivors and their families. In 2021, he co-founded the Michigan Interfaith Coalition to advocate for reforms to Michigan’s Auto No-Fault Law, further demonstrating his dedication to creating systems of support for those in need.
At Galaxy, Dr. Perlman embodies the core values of building trusting relationships, empowering positive change, and giving back to the community.
